We're looking into different ways of continuing to encourage one another in the word of God and through prayer in the weeks and months ahead. We're using the Zoom video conferencing app to continue to meet together in our different groups. Please use the contact form here to find out more and request an invite to join in.
Our 'This Week' page gives details of our weekly in person meetings and of regular uploads to the Avenue YouTube channel.
We will continue to seek ways of gathering together in person.
From 9th May 2021 we are able to meet at Rolleston Primary School on a Sunday morning. These meetings are limited to a safe number of participants and a full set of regulations and procedures are being followed to keep all participants safe. We are also excited to be able to use a building at Rolleston Primary School to continue with Sunday Morning Shake Up for children in school years Reception to Year 4.

Even though we can't all meet together physically for a while, let's keep reminding ourselves and one another of who our God is and who we are as his people in the days ahead - 'a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession' (1 Peter 2:9).
Let's seek to love one another and share things we can be praying for one another. Make a phone call or message someone to see how they are! Let's love one another deeply, just as our Father in heaven deeply loves us.
A friend of mine pointed me to some words of the apostle Paul's to the Colossian Christians: "though I am absent from you in body, I am present with you in spirit and delight to see how disciplined you are and how firm your faith in Christ is." (Colossians 2:5)
The earthly reality is that we will be physically absent from one another for a time; the heavenly reality is that the same Holy Spirit dwells in each one of us and is at work within us, drawing us together as he draws us to Christ. None of us is alone during this time. The God of all love, compassion and grace is with us. Let's encourage one another with that great truth in the days ahead.
